RULES

Each season will consist of 4 weeks of matches (pool play), 3 matches per week. Since all matches are scheduled in advance, failure to play is on the team at fault and will result in a forfeit.

Points System: Wins are given 10 points, and losses are given 0 in pool play. Max 120 points a season. Map count will be kept and used as a tiebreaker if necessary. The top 2 from each group advanced to the double-elimination bracket playoffs. Points will accrue throughout each season for seeding for the playoffs.

Team Departure: If, for any reason, a team decides to back out midseason, the new team will take the leaving team’s place and points. If a top team leaves, then every team will be moved up a seed, and the new team will take the bottom seed. In the case of a team leaving, the new team coming in has to buy out the rest of the previous team's spot. If a team has already paid in full, then the new team can come in for free. This season will be about endurance, so if you don't think you can make it, then don't waste our time and another team's potential spot.

Team captains must work with other team captains to settle match dates for each week. All matches must be played between Friday and Sunday. If a time cannot be reached, contact Phantom Events Staff.

The Phantom Events Staff must be notified of all scheduled matches by the team captain at scheduled times. Matches cannot be postponed within 24 hours of the original set time, and if one team can no longer play, they will forfeit.

If no match is scheduled by the captains by Wednesday night, Phantom Events staff will pick a time and date.

Submitted dates, times, casters (if available), higher seeds, and hosts for each game can be found in the schedule spreadsheet.

Hosting: GG Host is allowed. Both teams must agree on a server location. Teams may alternate hosts; they will alternate hosts based on seeding. The higher seed will host maps 1, 3, and 5. In the case where a team playing is providing the GG host, they must send proof of server location to any present Phantom Events staff. If teams cannot agree on a GG server location, then Phantom Events staff will choose.

In pool play matches, the higher seed goes to the team with the best MAP win/loss on the season. If teams are tied, Phantom Events staff will randomly select the higher seed.

Teams have 15 minutes to join their host from game time. Under most conditions, if they do not join, they forfeit. If a team is late, contact Phantom Events staff.

Map Selection and Veto— Maps will be selected by team captains using the CDL veto process, found in the link at the bottom of this page. The higher seed is team A; the lower seed is team B.

The mode set for Phantom Events CoD League will be HP, SND, CTRL, HP, SND.

Cheating—If you are suspected of cheating, Phantom Events staff may ask you to provide proof that you are not. Proof includes, but is not limited to, Monitor Cam, Controller Cam, PC checks, and more. If you suspect someone of cheating during a match, let active staff know ASAP, and it will be investigated. Proof must be sent to the staff.

Teams consist of 4 players and 2 substitutes. If a starter is not present, then you will use a listed substitute. If no substitute players are available, the team will have to play with 3 players or choose to forfeit. Free agents are not allowed to be used as substitutes in the case of a match. In special situations, Phantom Events staff, at their discretion, can allow last-minute roster changes

Disconnections - Hardpoint: If neither team has reached 100 points, the map can be fully restarted. Otherwise, the map needs to be played out. - SND: The round in which the player has lagged out will need to be played out, then ended and restarted with the same round score. - Restarts are at the discretion of Phantom Events staff. Maps should not end right away to allow time for rejoin attempts.

Submitting stats—Statistics are required to be submitted. If the match is being streamed by a Phantom Events caster, it is their responsibility to screenshot and submit stats in the #stats-submission channel. If there is no Phantom Events caster, the higher-seeded team should submit stats. This is required.

The ruleset will be Competitive Settings V 1.3. Competitive Call of Duty rules adjust over time. The rules below represent the settings in place for the Call of Duty League and Call of Duty Challengers events. Competitive Settings V 1.3 have been developed in coordination between League Administration and representatives (players, coaches) of the Call of Duty League. Maps and modes may change at a later date. Pro GA’s will be used
